Ship "Roll calls"

There are a number of Cruise Critic members participating in the two roll calls for the Oriana World cruise and the Arcadia World cruise .   Pop on over to either or both and say "Hello, old boy!" or "G'day mate" or maybe even "Hi buddy"

Nice LONG days in port.

A fellow participant in the Cruise Critics forum - who is sailing on Oriana from Southampton to Sydney and who has received all their "info" from P&O including info relating to our section of the World cruise - has forwarded to me P&O's times for arrival and departure from the various ports.

The days in these ports are good long ones with most departures after at least 6PM. This should allow us to have a bit of a wander around the local area in many ports, after we have returned from our shore tours.

I do note that, unfortunately, it is going to be dark at 6 AM when we berth at Southampton.

OOOH!! That hurt!!!

Yesterday, we went to our Travel Agent and paid for our cruises in full!! OUCH!!!

But we are very happy. This "round the World" cruise is something that neither of us would have ever dreamed of being able to do. For our families, only a generation or so ago , there would have been no possibility of such a thing - not even the possibility of thought of doing such a thing. We regard ourselves as very ordinary working class "Baby Boomer" Aussies - who have had the good fortune of being born when and where we were.
